Big Idea:
The Six Flags
of San Antonio
(Train conductor speaks on intercom)
All aboard the Bluebonnet, the train that transports you to multiple tourist destinations in San Antonio, Texas!
This train has six stops: Six Flags Fiesta Texas, The Alamo, The Pearl, Frost Bank Center, Morgan’s Wonderland, and Natural Bridge Caverns. In a few moments, a conductor will walk through the aisles. Make sure you have your tickets ready! Screens on each cart will inform guests about each stop before stepping off the train. In addition, each stop has its own train shelter inspired by the stop’s characteristics. You may not have gone to The Seven Wonders of the World, but this train takes you to The Six Wonders of San Antonio.
We're thrilled to have you on board the Bluebonnet. Thank you for choosing us for your San Antonio adventure.
STORY BEHIND THE DESIGN
Our story consists of six characters: Carmen, the oldest child, a screenager (teen who spends most of her time on her phone) who doesn't want to go on the trip; Jackson, the adopted middle child; Kumar, the youngest child, an artist who's on-the-spectrum; Janice, the mom; Caesar, the dad who's a retired cowboy; and Abuela Katia, a historian residing in San Antonio, Texas. The other family members are visiting San Antonio for three days to see Abuela Katia. Each family member also wants to visit a different tourist spot while there. Abuela Katia has heard about a new train system that can transport people to various tourist destinations in the city. She wanted to go but couldn't because she didn't know how to use the train's ticketing app on her phone. She decides to ask Carmen for help. The family plans to use the train to visit different stops each day.
